Angela L. Shaw
Vice President of Human Resources
Angela is a servant leader at heart and in addition to serving her organization she also gives back to the HR community on a regular basis. Angela has held multiple HR volunteer leadership roles over the years including the 2015 President of the Williamson County HR Association, the 2016 Director of Diversity for the Texas Society of Human Resources Management, and the 2019 President of the Austin Human Resources Management Association. Angela has also become an accomplished public speaker on the topic of Diversity and Inclusion including giving a TEDx talk on the St. Edwards University Campus in Austin, Texas. She is also a board member for the Greater Austin YWCA and the non-profit organization PelotonU.
Angela holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management with a minor in Human Resources. She is also certified as both a Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional and a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the HR Certification Institute. She teaches the Essentials of Human Resources at both Austin Community College and UT Austin Professional Development Center as a way to spread her philosophy on “good HR”. She also won the inaugural Workies 2019 HR Director of the Year Award powered by the Work Awesome NYC conference.
