Campus advantage, in partnership with Saban Real Estate, added 19 student housing properties to their portfolio for $508 million. The deal involved over 12,000 beds at universities in the South and on the East Coast. These “purpose-built student housing” properties are off-campus, intended for student use, with leases operating in 11-month terms that coincide with the school year. Campus Advantage and Saban Real Estate plan to invest $30 million into renovating the properties. They plan on keeping costs low to attract students without deep pockets.
