Pronouns Matter to Us

As a company committed to cultivating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture, it’s important to Campus Advantage that we facilitate an environment where all feel represented, seen and valued. Part of our company culture is providing a safe and welcoming place where every member of our team, and every individual with whom we interact, is embraced, respected, and empowered regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or religious affiliation. Pronouns can be an important part of someone’s identity, so we are working to encourage and incorporate correct pronoun usage across the organization.

Important things to know:

Gender pronouns serve as words that an individual wants used when being talked or referred to.

Some common pronouns include:

  • she/her/hers,
  • they/them/theirs,
  • he/him/his,
  • ze/hir/theirs (pronounced: zee/heer/theirs).

Why does this matter?

  • Using the correct gender pronouns shows an individual respect and promotes inclusion. This will also help prevent an individual from feeling excluded or alienated.
  • Using the correct gender pronouns fosters a positive environment of support for all.
